How to use emojis and sounds in Advanced Captions
Advanced Captions includes emoji tools and sound controls for caption elements. Use these accents to support the words while keeping the dialogue easy to follow.
Add an emoji
- Open Manage emojis in the caption editor.
- Choose the current chunk or the relevant scope.
- Click Add emoji and choose a Static or Animated emoji. Use search or a category to find it.
- Adjust size and position. Preview it against the video and caption text.
- Save changes.
Manage emojis also offers Generate still emojis with AI. Review generated suggestions for meaning and placement before keeping them. Still and Animated options control the emoji type; they are separate from the text preset's animation.
Add or change a sound
Open Personalize caption, select the relevant element and open Sounds. Click Add sound to open the sound selector. Choose a sound from the library; Manage & add custom sounds is available in the selector.
Preview with audio to check the timing and level against the dialogue. An animated text preset does not necessarily include sound: inspect the selected element's Sounds tab.
Verify in Premiere Pro
After import, play the sequence with audio. Make sure emojis do not cover a face or the text, and that repeated sound accents do not distract from speech. Adjust the relevant design or audio mix before exporting.
