How to Install new fonts for AutoCaptions

AutoCaptions uses the fonts available on your computer. If you’d like to customize your subtitles with a new font, you’ll need to install it on your system first.
One of the easiest and most reliable ways to do this is by using Google Fonts — a free library of high-quality, open-source fonts.

Steps to install a new font

  1. Browse and choose a font

Visit Google Fonts. You can preview each font with your own text to find the one that fits your style.

  1. Download the font

Click the “Download family” button to download the font as a ZIP file.

  1. Install the font on your system
  • Unzip the downloaded folder
  • Right-click the font file (usually .ttf or .otf) and select “Install for all users”.

Once installed, your new font will be available in AutoCaptions, as well as in any other applications on your computer.

Customize your captions with style

After installation, your font will appear in the AutoCaptions settings. This means you can easily create subtitles that match your brand guidelines, project style, or personal taste.
We recommend choosing a clear and legible font for subtitles. Popular choices include Inter, Roboto, or Lato.

Important : Check font licensing

⚠️ Remember to respect font licensing and usage rights, especially when using fonts for commercial purposes.
