Why is AutoCut not opening on Windows?

If AutoCut does not open correctly on your Windows computer, this may be caused by a background process or a missing environment variable. Follow these steps to fix the issue:


1. Close AutoCut from Task Manager


  • Open the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
  • Look for AutoCut in the list of processes.
  • Select it and click End task.

2. Open Windows Explorer
  • Click on the path bar and then write %appdata%
  • Find the folder AutoCut and delete it

3. Restart AutoCut


If it's still not work, follow the next steps



4. Open Environment Variables settings


  • In the Windows search bar, type variables.
  • Select Edit the system environment variables.
  • In the window that opens, click Environment Variables…


5. Check the Path variable

  • In the System variables section, find the variable called Path 👉 If it doesn’t exist, create it.
  • Make sure the following entries are present:

6. Restart AutoCut


Once you’ve updated the environment variables, restart your computer and try launching AutoCut again.
