How to modify AutoZoom effects using your own presets?
Why use your own presets with AutoZoom?
AutoZoom automatically generates zoom effects based on the detected key moments in your video. However, you may want to fine-tune the zoom animation or adapt it to your personal editing style. A simple way to do this is to apply your own Premiere Pro presets to the adjustment layers created by AutoZoom.
Applying presets after generating zooms with AutoZoom is a fast way to refine your edit without starting from scratch. Since AutoZoom already detects the anchor point and the moments where zooms should appear, most of the work is already done. AutoZoom already:
- Detects the important moments in your video
- Identifies the correct anchor point
- Creates the zoom layers automatically
Apply a preset that uses “Scale”
If your preset modifies the Scale property, the zoom animation will automatically adapt to the duration of the adjustment layer. This makes it easy to reuse the same preset across multiple zooms without manually adjusting the animation each time.
Using Scale-based presets is ideal when you want to quickly standardize the zoom intensity across your project.
Use “Anchor In Point” for Snap-in zooms
For Snap-in zoom styles, the zoom animation happens at the beginning of the adjustment layer. Using a preset based on the Anchor In Point ensures that the zoom animation always starts at the correct moment.
This helps maintain a consistent snap-in effect across all your zooms without having to manually reposition keyframes.
