**AutoCaptions** uses the fonts available on your computer. If you’d like to customize your subtitles with a new font, you’ll need to install it on your system first.
One of the easiest and most reliable ways to do this is by using [Google Fonts](https://fonts.google.com/) — a free library of high-quality, open-source fonts.

3. **Install the Font**
* Double-click the ZIP file to unzip it.
* Double-click the font file to open it in the **Font Book** app.
* In Font Book, click **“Install Font.”**

The font is now available across your Mac — including in AutoCut Captions.

# Customize your captions with style

Once your font is installed, you’ll find it listed directly in the AutoCaptions settings. This lets you create subtitles that match your **brand**, **project style**, or **personal taste**.

||| ⚠️ Remember to respect font licensing and usage rights, especially when using fonts for commercial purposes.

**Need help choosing a font ?**
We recommend picking something clean and legible for subtitles, such as **Inter**, **Roboto**, or **Lato**.
