# How to ignore an audio track in AutoCut Silences ?

If you want AutoCut to skip certain audio tracks when detecting silences, you can manually exclude them from the analysis.

### How to do it
In the **"Define section"** of AutoCut Silences, simply **uncheck the box** next to the audio track you want to ignore.
→ Only the checked tracks will be analyzed for silences.

###### Example

Let’s say:
* **A1 and A2** contain voice recordings.
* **A3** contains background video game sounds.
You want to cut the silences from the dialogue (A1 & A2), but keep the background sounds from A3 untouched.
→ Just **uncheck A3** — it won’t influence the silence detection.

|| 💡 This is especially useful when working with background music, ambient sounds, or game audio that you want to keep in full, without affecting your main pacing.
