How to cut only one video track with AutoCut Silences in Premiere Pro ?

You may want to apply silence cuts to one track only — for example, your main camera angle — while keeping the others intact (B-roll, secondary cameras, overlays, etc.).
Here’s how to do it step by step :

Step 1 — Select Only the Track You Want to Analyze

In AutoCut Silences, make sure to deselect the video tracks you don’t want to process.

  • Only the selected track will be analyzed

Step 2 — Lock the Other Video Tracks in Premiere Pro

In your Premiere Pro timeline, lock all the video tracks you don’t want AutoCut to cut.

  • Click the padlock icon on the left of the timeline to lock a track
  • Locked tracks will remain untouched

Step 3 — Run AutoCut Silences

Launch AutoCut Silences as usual.

  • AutoCut will cut only the unlocked tracks, following the silences of the selected tracks. Unselected but unlocked tracks will still be cut, but according to the selected tracks' silences.

Step 4 — Review Your Timeline

Check your timeline after the cut :

  • The selected video track is edited
  • The locked tracks remain exactly as they were
