How do I mute unused audio tracks in AutoCut Podcast?
AutoCut Podcast selects camera angles based on the active speaker, but it does not mute the other audio tracks for you.
To hear only the active speaker while keeping your edit synchronized, prepare each audio track separately with AutoCut Silences, then run AutoCut Podcast.
1. Process the first track with AutoCut Silences
- Lock every track except the audio track you are working on: lock all video tracks and every other audio track. Only the current speaker’s audio track should remain unlocked.

- In your timeline, select only the audio clips belonging to the first speaker.
- Open AutoCut Silences.
- On the selection screen, keep only that audio track selected, then confirm.

- Let AutoCut Silences analyze the selection and adjust the detection if needed.
- Under Silence Management, select Mute silences.
- Click Cut and Mute Silences to start processing.

2. Repeat for every speaker
Lock the track you have just processed, then unlock only the next speaker’s audio track. Keep all video tracks locked throughout the process, then repeat the same steps with AutoCut Silences.
Always process one audio track at a time until every speaker’s track has been prepared.

Before running AutoCut Podcast, your timeline should look like this: the video tracks remain intact, while each speaker’s audio track is split into active and muted sections.

3. Run AutoCut Podcast
Once every audio track has been processed:
- Open AutoCut Podcast.
- Add your speakers and assign each one to the corresponding audio track.
- Configure the cameras on which each speaker appears.
- Choose your remaining settings, then run AutoCut Podcast.

AutoCut Podcast can now create the camera changes while the silent portions of each audio track remain muted without changing their position in the timeline.
